Question by Pinkadot: Any bridal shower ideas - bride does not want to play games...?
She is going to Hawaii for Honeymoon, their wedding dinner the night before is a luau so I don't want to do that. Her shower is just a "honeymoon shower", just gifts for the honeymoon.

look on the internet for sex parties. i dont know the address but i am sure they will have it. a lady will come to the house bringing nightgowns, toys, lotions, etc. i actually went with people who were from a church and they had a blast! they are really really fun and at the end you can buy things.

have a champagne brunch. people talking and hanging out. games aren’t a necessity, especially when there are good food and drinks.
have fun!
Don’t have one. Bridal showers are tacky and if she is being that picky about what you do then she doesn’t deserve one. Tell her to throw her own.
There are all sorts of ways to go with this. You can do a theme party like Hawaiian or a Lingerie party. Another one, which is good for someone who doesn’t want to play games, my friend had a “Slumber party” type thing where a bunch of her friends got together in comfy clothes and watched some chick flicks and got drunk. It can be simple to be fun.
Specify that all gifts be for a certain time frame of the day, it’s amazing how the same four hour span can generate such diverse ideas. Have fun.
How about a wine party? You know, where guests bring different kinds of wines etc. Instead of a wishing well, you might ask guests to bring, in addition to a bottle of wine, to bring something to fill a wine basket. Items might include wine bottle stoppers, openers, biscoti, nuts, gourmet crackers, cheeses etc. Once the basket is filled by the guests, it is given to the bride to be. In additon to the different bottles of wine, glasses, ice buckets etc. Just something different.
