Bridal shower activities?
Question by hope: Bridal shower activities?
I really want to do something fun at the shower I am hosting. We will have hors'doeuvres, cake and punch, gifts. There wil definitely be catching up with everyone and chatting, but I'm trying to think of a fun activity. No, not your usual shower "games" (dress the bride, pictionary, steal the clothespin, famous couples...)- just something kind of fun that encourages interaction and serves as an icebreaker, something enjoyable.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If you know how to knit, arrange flowers, make jewelry, or paint pottery, why not teach it to the guests? They'll spend a fun afternoon learning a new skill, and leave with a project or give one to the bride. If you're not confident in your teaching abilities, look to local stores for group one-day classes that can be booked for the day. A favorite one of mine is the paint-your-own-pottery idea. Instead of bringing a gift, each guest paints a piece for the bride in her wedding colors

A nice prize winning game would be giving each person maybe a lace with a plastic ring from like the 10cent machine. No one is to say the word wedding, if someone hears it they can take the lace from them. The one with the most wins the prize. Or it can be played the same only no one can cross their legs.
I went to this really fun bridal shower where they asked the groom questions like;
what is your fiance’s pet name for you
and like fun crazy questions and for every question she got wrong she had to chew a piece of Super Bubble bubble gum. and they just came adding up till she couldnt even talk. it was so funni!!
For this game, you tell everyone they will pass around a box that has been wrapped multiple times. When the music stops, whoever has the box has to unwrap a layer of wrapping paper. Once all of the wrapping paper has been removed, they pass it once more and whoever ends up with it has to wear the pair of bloomers inside.
Heres the kicker, the “bloomers” are actually flowers and they get pinned to the person like a boutinere.
I did this for a shower for my sister and it really broke the ice and we had a lot of fun and laughs with it
